Note: Before you can create a quiz, you must first add the Quizzes/Surveys to your course. For more information, see Adding a Page or Tool.

  1. From the Course Menu, click Quiz. The Quizzes/Surveys screen appears.
  2. Under Options, click Create quiz. The Create Quiz screen appears.
  3. In the Title text box, enter the title for the quiz.
  4. Select whether you want to base the quiz on a template:
    • To base the quiz on a template, select Base this quiz on a template and from the Template drop-down list, select the quiz or survey that you want to use as a template.
    • To not base the quiz on a template, select Do not use another quiz or survey as a template.
  5. Click Create. The Quizzes/Surveys screen appears and the quiz is added.

Note: Before you can create a survey, you must first add Quizzes/Surveys to your course. For more information, see Adding a Page or Tool.

  1. From the Course Menu, click Quiz. The Quizzes/Surveys screen appears.
  2. Under Options, click Create survey. The Create Survey screen appears.
  3. In the Title text box, enter the title for the survey.
  4. Select whether you want to base the survey on a template:
    • To base the survey on a template, select Base this survey on a template and from the Template drop-down list, select the quiz or survey that you want to use as a template.
    • To not base the survey on a template, select Do not use another quiz or survey as a template.
  5. Click Create. The Quizzes/Surveys screen appears and the survey is added.

Adding Questions to Quizzes or Surveys | Top

Once you create a quiz or survey, using the Question Browser, you can:

Adding Existing Questions to Quizzes or Surveys

  1. From the Course Menu, click Quiz. The Quizzes/Surveys screen appears.
  2. Locate the quiz or survey to which you want to add questions and click its title. The Quiz Editor or Survey Editor screen appears.
  3. Under Options, click Add questions. The Question Browser pop-up window appears with the question categories displayed in a table.
  4. Locate the categories containing the questions you want to add and click their titles. The categories expand.
  5. Next to the questions you want to add, select the check box. To add all questions contained in a category, select the check box next to the category folder.
  6. Click Add selected. The Quiz Editor or Survey Editor screen appears and the selected questions added.

Creating Questions and Adding Them to Quizzes or Surveys

  1. From the Course Menu, click Quiz. The Quizzes/Surveys screen appears.
  2. Locate the quiz or survey to which you want to add a new question and click its title. The Quiz Editor or Survey Editor screen appears.
  3. Under Options, click Add questions. The Question Browser pop-up window appears.
  4. Under Create Question, from the Question type drop-down list, select the question type and click Create. The Question pop-up window for the selected question type appears.
  5. Enter the question information and click Save. The Question Browser pop-up window appears. Note: For more information on creating the different types of questions, see Question Database.
  6. Locate the category to which you saved the question and click its title. The category expands.
  7. Next to the question, select the check box and click Add selected. The Quiz Editor or Survey Editor screen appears and the question is added.
