Editing a link | Top

1. From the Control Panel, click Course Settings. The Course Settings screen appears.
2. Under Create/Edit Welcome Page, click Edit welcome page. The Create/Edit Welcome Page appears.
3. Select the link that you want to edit.
4. Under Options: Links, click Edit. The Update Link to URL screen appears.
5. In the Title text box, edit the name of the link as desired.
6. Under Link appearance, specify how you want the link to appear: as the title, the icon, or both.
   • To select an icon, enter the path and filename in the Icon filename text box, or to select the file, click Browse. The WebCT Browser appears. Note: Images must be saved in .gif or .jpg format.
7. To change the URL, in the URL text box, enter a new URL.
8. Under Open in, select the browser window in which you want the URL to display.
9. Click Update. The Create/Edit Welcome Page screen appears and the Welcome Page is updated.
10. To preview your changes, click Preview welcome page.

Deleting a link | Top

1. From the Control Panel, click Course Settings. The Course Settings screen appears.
2. Under Create/Edit Welcome Page, click Edit welcome page. The Create/Edit Welcome Page appears.
3. Select the link that you want to delete.
4. Under Options: Links, click Delete. A warning message appears.
5. Click OK. The Create/Edit Welcome Page screen appears and the Welcome Page is updated.
6. To preview your changes, click Preview welcome page.

Moving a link backward | Top

You can move a link backward by one position. In a one-column layout, this moves the link up one row. In a two-column layout, the link moves to the left column, if the link is in the right-hand column. If the link is in the left-hand column, it moves to the right column and up one row.

1. From the Control Panel, click Course Settings. The Course Settings screen appears.
2. Under Create/Edit Welcome Page, click Edit welcome page. The Create/Edit Welcome Page appears.
3. Select the link that you want to move backward.
4. Under Options: Links, click Move backward. The Welcome Page appears with the link in the new position.
5. To preview your changes, click Preview welcome page.

Moving a link forward | Top

You can move a link forward by one position. In a one-column layout, the link moves down one row. In a two-column layout, the link moves to the right column, if the link is in the left-hand column. If the link is in the right column, it moves to the left column and down one row.

1. From the Control Panel, click Course Settings. The Course Settings screen appears.
2. Under Create/Edit Welcome Page, click Edit welcome page. The Create/Edit Welcome Page appears.
3. Select the link that you want to move forward.
4. Under Options: Links, click Move forward. The Welcome Page appears with the link in the new position.
5. To preview your changes, click Preview welcome page.
